Madrid Masters: Fritz eases past Baez to move into last 16
Taylor Fritz beat Sebastian Baez 6-2, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon and will face Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, in the next round

American Taylor Fritz, the No 12 seed, beat Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 18 seed, 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Madrid Masters at the Caja Magica.
Fritz, ranked No 13, will play Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Madrid tournament, the American defeated Italian Luciano Darderi (7-6 (1), 6-4).
Baez, ranked No 19, beat Frenchman Luca Van Assche (6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-3) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
