Madrid Masters: Coric through to third round
Borna Coric won against Hugo Gaston 6-3, 6-3 on Friday and will face the winner of the match between Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 12 seed, and Frenchman Richard Gasquet in the next round

Croat Borna Coric, the No 17 seed, reached the third round of the Madrid Masters by defeating French wildcard Hugo Gaston 6-3, 6-3 at the Caja Magica on Friday evening.
Coric, ranked No 20, will play the winner of the match between Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 12 seed, and Frenchman Richard Gasquet next.
Gaston, ranked No 106, won against Jeremy Chardy (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
