Madrid Masters: Cachin takes out ninth seed Tiafoe, through to last 16

Argentinian Pedro Cachin reached the last 16 of the Madrid Masters by winning against American Frances Tiafoe, the No 9 seed, 6-1, 7-6 (2) at the Caja Magica on Monday.
Cachin, ranked No 67, will face German lucky loser Jan-Lennard Struff next.
The Argentinian beat Jordanian wildcard Abdullah Shelbayh (6-1, 6-4) and No 24 seed Francisco Cerundolo (6-1, 7-6 (6)) ahead of his victory. Tiafoe, ranked No 11, defeated Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (6-3, 7-6 (5)).
