Madrid Masters: Cachin advances to third round
Pedro Cachin edged out Frances Tiafoe 7-6 (1), 3-6, 6-4 on Saturday and will play the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 10 seed, and Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the next round

Argentinian Pedro Cachin edged out American Frances Tiafoe, the No 20 seed, 7-6 (1), 3-6, 6-4 to advance to the third round of the Madrid Masters at the Caja Magica on Saturday afternoon.
Cachin, ranked No 91, will face the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 10 seed, and Spaniard Rafael Nadal next.
The Argentinian won against Austrian Sebastian Ofner (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Madrid tournament.
