Lyon Open: Top seed Cameron Norrie to meet Danish teen Holger Rune in semis
Cameron Norrie edged out Sebastian Baez in three sets to complete the semi-final line-up in Lyon
Top seed Cameron Norrie moved into the semi-finals of the Lyon Open by edging out Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 7 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 at Parc de la Tête d’or on Thursday evening.
Norrie, ranked No 11, will face Danish teenager Holger Rune in the last four.
Cameron Norrie defeated Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round.
Earlier in the tournament, Baez, ranked No 38, won against qualifier Tomas Martin Etcheverry (6-2, 6-1) and German Oscar Otte (5-7, 6-4, 6-2).
Fourth seed Alex de Minaur will take on Slovak Alex Molcan in the other semi-final.
