Russian Pavel Kotov reached the second round of the Lyon Open by winning against Argentinian lucky loser Pedro Cachin 6-1, 6-4 at Parc de la Tête d’or on Monday.
Kotov, ranked No 57, will face wildcard Alexandre Muller next.
