Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 5 seed, won against Spanish lucky loser Oriol Roca-Batalla 6-1, 6-3 to reach the second round of the Lyon Open at Parc de la Tête d’or on Monday.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 36, will face Jack Draper next.
