Los Cabos Open: Ruud advances to face Tsitsipas in semis

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 4 seed, beat Portuguese Nuno Borges 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Los Cabos Open at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Thursday.
Ruud, ranked No 12, will face Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the tournament, the Norwegian won against American Marcos Giron (6-1, 6-0).
Borges, ranked No 47, defeated German Dominik Koepfer (7-6 (2), 6-2) and Australian Max Purcell, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-3) earlier in the week.
