Los Cabos Open: Paul through to quarter-finals to face de Minaur
Tommy Paul won against Felipe Meligeni Rodrigues Alves 7-5, 7-6 (7) on Thursday night and will face Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 5 seed, in the next round

American Tommy Paul, the No 3 seed, defeated Brazilian Felipe Meligeni Rodrigues Alves 7-5, 7-6 (7) to move into the last eight of the Los Cabos Open at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Thursday night.
Paul, ranked No 14, will face Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 5 seed, next.
Meligeni Rodrigues Alves, ranked No 177, won against Chilean Alejandro Tabilo (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Los Cabos tournament.
