Los Cabos Open: Ivashka books spot in last eight, plays Coric in quarter-finals

Belarusian Ilya Ivashka, the No 8 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Los Cabos Open by edging out Croat Borna Gojo 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Thursday night.
Ivashka, ranked No 113, will face Croat Borna Coric, the No 4 seed, next.
The Belarusian edged out Kazakh qualifier Beibit Zhukayev (3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of the Los Cabos tournament.
During the first round of the Los Cabos tournament, Gojo, ranked No 115, beat Chilean Cristian Garin (7-5, 4-6, 6-3).
