Los Cabos Open: Berankis advances to second round

Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis advanced to the second round of the Los Cabos Open by beating Frenchman Quentin Halys, the No 9 seed, 7-6 (1), 7-5 at the Cabo del Mar Sports Center on Tuesday night.

Berankis, ranked No 98, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Facundo Bagnis and American Ernesto Escobedo next.
