American Mackenzie McDonald reached the second round of the Korea Open by winning against Spaniard Pedro Martinez 7-5, 6-4 at the Seoul Olympic Park on Tuesday.
McDonald, ranked No 82, will play No 3 seed Taylor Fritz next.
