Diego Schwartzman reached the second round of the Japan Open by winning against Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 6-1 at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo on Tuesday.
Schwartzman, ranked No 113, will face Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 4 seed, next.
