Japan Open: Giron sees off Nishioka
Marcos Giron won against Yoshihito Nishioka 7-6 (14), 4-6, 6-1 on Monday and will face the winner of the match between Japanese wildcard Yosuke Watanuki and Norwegian Casper Ruud, the second seed, in the next round

American qualifier Marcos Giron moved into the second round of the Japan Open by winning against Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka 7-6 (14), 4-6, 6-1 at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo on Monday.
Giron, ranked No 79, will face the winner of the match between Japanese wildcard Yosuke Watanuki and Norwegian Casper Ruud, the second seed, next.
