Japan Open: De Minaur makes second round, gets past qualifier Draper in close encounter
Alex De Minaur edged out Jack Draper 4-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1) on Tuesday night. He’ll face the winner of the match between Francisco Cerundolo and Diego Schwartzman in the next round
Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 4 seed, reached the second round of the Japan Open by edging out qualifier Jack Draper 4-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (1) at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo on Tuesday night.
De Minaur, ranked No 13, will play the winner of the match between Francisco Cerundolo and Diego Schwartzman next.
