Indian Wells Masters: Rublev into fourth round, meets Norrie for QF berth
Rublev holds a 2-1 edge over Norrie in their head-to-head
Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 6 seed, beat Frenchman Ugo Humbert 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters on Sunday.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, the Russian won against Czech Jiri Lehecka (6-4, 6-2).
Rublev, ranked No 7, will play No 10 seed Cameron Norrie next. The Russian holds a 2-1 edge in their head-to-head, including a win at the 2022 US Open in the fourth round stage.
Humbert, ranked No 77, won against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-2, 7-6 (6)) and Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 25 seed (7-5, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
