Indian Wells Masters: Humbert sees off Nishikori to reach third round

Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 18 seed, defeated Japanese Kei Nishikori 6-4, 6-3 to move into the third round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday evening.

Humbert, ranked No 19, will play the winner of the match between Dane Holger Rune, the No 12 seed, and Frenchman Corentin Moutet next.

Nishikori, ranked No 76, edged out Spaniard Jaume Munar (6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (3)) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
