Indian Wells: Humbert upsets Shapovalov; to meet Rublev in third round

Frenchman Ugo Humbert advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by beating Canadian Denis Shapovalov, the No 25 seed, 7-5, 6-4 on Friday.

Humbert, ranked No 77 in the world, will play Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 6 seed, next.

The Frenchman won against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-2, 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
