Indian Wells Masters: Griekspoor beats Pella in two tiebreaks to reach third round

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 31 seed, reached the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by winning against Argentinian Guido Pella 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) on Saturday.

Griekspoor, ranked No 36 in the world, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, and Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis next.

While Griekspoor received a first round bye, Guido Pella had defeated Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (3-6, 7-5, 6-2) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
