Indian Wells Masters: Auger-Aliassime knocks out Cerundolo, makes last 16

Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 8 seed, reached the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters by winning against Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 27 seed, 7-5, 6-4 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Monday.
Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 10, will face American Tommy Paul, the No 17 seed, next.
After beating him at the Australian Open (albeit in four sets), the Canadian extended his head-to-head record over the Argentinian to 2-0.
Auger-Aliassime has reached the quarter-finals of all the ATP Masters 1000 events since Monte Carlo last year.
The 22-year-old Canadian defeated Spaniard Pedro Martinez (7-6 (5), 6-4) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, Cerundolo, ranked No 32, edged out American wildcard Jack Sock (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
