Top seed Alcaraz sets up Draper clash in last 16 in Indian Wells

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, set up an intriguing clash with rising British star Jack Draper in the last 16 of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells after battling to a 7-6 (4), 6-3 win over Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 31 seed on Monday.
The world No 2 came through testing windy conditions to reach the fourth round.
“Today was more windy, like difficult conditions, you know, comparing to the last night,” Alcaraz said. “I had to up my game, because of the wind, the opponent is different as well. “But I would say I’m proud of the level that I played today.”
Draper set up his meeting with Alcaraz after beating former world No 1 and fellow Briton Andy Murray 7-6 (6), 6-2.
Alcaraz beat Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round while Griekspoor, ranked No 36, defeated Argentinian Guido Pella (7-6 (3), 7-6 (4)).
