Indian Wells: Clinical Zverev sees off O’Connell

German Alexander Zverev, the No 6 seed, advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by defeating Australian Christopher O’Connell 6-4, 6-4 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday evening.

Zverev, ranked No 6, will play the winner of the match between German Yannick Hanfmann and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 27 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters, O’Connell, ranked No 66, won against Jack Draper (1-6, 6-3, 6-2).
