Indian Wells Masters: Musetti into third round

Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 15 seed, advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells Masters by defeating Russian Roman Safiullin 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Friday.
Musetti, ranked No 16, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 20 seed, and Canadian lucky loser Gabriel Diallo next.
Safiullin, ranked No 69, won against American wildcard Reilly Opelka (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
