Indian Wells: Alcaraz wins 50th ATP Masters 1000 match, beats Marozsan

Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed, beat Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the last 8 of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Tuesday.
Alcraz continues his winning streak at Indian Wells, having won last year’s title; he is now on nine victories in a row.
It is also his 50th ATP Masters 1000 match win.
Marozsan beat Alcaraz at Rome last year in their only previous meeting, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
Alcaraz, ranked No 2, will face the winner of the match between German Alexander Zverev, the No 6 seed, and Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 10 seed, next.
The 20-year-old Spaniard won against Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-7 (5), 6-0, 6-1) and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 31 seed (6-2, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
Earlier in the tournament, Marozsan, ranked No 58, defeated Austrian lucky loser Jurij Rodionov (6-3, 6-2), Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the No 24 seed (3-6, 7-5, 6-4) and Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-2, 6-2).
