“In my opinion, the G.O.A.T. is Novak Djokovic” – Mouratoglou
The French coach also backs his charge, Holger Rune, to win his first Grand Salm in Paris this fortnight
French coach Patrick Mouratoglou (also the co-founder of Tennis Majors) believes that Novak Djokovic is the Greatest of All Time based on objective criteria.
Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are both tied at 22 Grand Slams – the most by any male tennis player. With Nadal absent from Roland-Garros this year, Djokovic has a chance to get to 23 and take sole possession of the record.
“In my opinion, the G.O.A.T. is Novak Djokovic,” Mouratoglou said in an interview on Canal+. “If you want to be objective, the G.O.A.T. will be the one with the greatest roll of honors and obviously he is the one in the best position to continue to win Grand Slams.”
I have to have give all the credit to my player, otherwise I would be a bad coach so my prediction is that Holger Rune will win his first Grand Slam tournament

The French coach likened Nadal’s absence from Paris this year to a judo world championship without Teddy Riner, the French martial arts legend with 11 world champion crowns and two Olympic gold medals.
However, Mouratoglou, who is currently coaching Holger Rune, the sixth seed in Paris, believes the Dane will take home his first Grand Slam title in Paris over the next fortnight.
“Every year I say that the point to know who is going to beat Rafael Nadal in final. Roland-Garros without Rafael Nadal is like a judo world championship without Teddy Riner. This year, this statement doesn’t apply so I have to have give all the credit to my player, otherwise I would be a bad coach so my prediction is that Holger Rune will win his first Grand Slam tournament,” Mouratoglou said.
