Houston Open: Darderi through to second round

Italian Luciano Darderi reached the second round of the Houston Open by winning against American wildcard Denis Kudla 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2 at River Oaks Country Club on Tuesday.

Darderi, ranked No 72, will play second seed Francisco Cerundolo next.
