Hangzhou Open: Nakashima saves matchpoints to reach quarters
The American will face Australian Rinky Hijikata in the next round

American Brandon Nakashima, the No 4 seed, defeated qualifier Coleman Wong 6-7 (7), 7-6 (4), 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Hangzhou Open on Friday.
Nakashima, ranked No 39, will face Australian Rinky Hijikata next at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center.
The American improved to 11-4 since August, including a fourth round appearance at the recent US Open.
In the previous round of the tournament, Wong, ranked No 141, benefited from the retirement of Chinese wildcard Yibing Wu (6-3).
