Hamburg Open: Zverev through to quarter-finals, young Frenchman Van Assche next

No 4 seed Alexander Zverev moved into the quarter-finals of the Hamburg Open by beating wildcard Maximilian Marterer 6-3, 7-5 at Am Rothenbaum on Wednesday evening.
Zverev, ranked No 19, will play Frenchman Luca Van Assche next.
In the previous round of the Hamburg tournament, Alexander Zverev won against Slovak Alex Molcan (6-0, 6-3). Marterer, ranked No 144, defeated wildcard Rudolf Molleker (7-6 (2), 6-2) during the first round of the Hamburg tournament.
