Hamburg Open: Rune eases past Trungelliti to move into quarter-finals
Holger Rune won against Marco Trungelliti 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday afternoon and will face Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 5 seed, in the next round
Dane Holger Rune, the second seed, moved into the last eight of the Hamburg Open by defeating Argentinian qualifier Marco Trungelliti 6-4, 6-3 at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center.
Rune, ranked No 17, will play Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 5 seed, next.
The 21-year-old Dane won against Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-4, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Hamburg tournament, Trungelliti, ranked No 151, benefited from the abandonment of Austrian Sebastian Ofner (6-1, 4-3).
