Hamburg Open: Martinez upsets sixth seed Arnaldi in opening round
The Spaniard will play French qualifier Ugo Blanchet in the next round

Spaniard Pedro Martinez reached the second round of the Hamburg Open by beating Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-1 at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Monday.
Martinez, ranked No 49, will face French qualifier Ugo Blanchet next.
