Hamburg Open: Kwon falls in opening round
Maximilian Marterer edged out SoonWoo Kwon 6-4, 6-7 (6), 7-5 on Monday and will play No 4 seed Francisco Cerundolo in the next round

German wildcard Maximilian Marterer moved into the second round of the Hamburg Open by edging out SoonWoo Kwon 6-4, 6-7 (6), 7-5 at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Marterer, ranked No 108, will face No 4 seed Francisco Cerundolo next.
