Slovak lucky loser Jozef Kovalik won against Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6 (6), 6-4 to move into the second round of the Hamburg Open at Am Rothenbaum on Tuesday.
Kovalik, ranked No 172, will face Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 3 seed, next.
