Hamburg Open: Karatsev reaches second round, defeating Basilashvili

Russian Aslan Karatsev advanced to the second round of the Hamburg Open by winning against Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili, the No 6 seed, 6-4, 6-0 at Am Rothenbaum on Tuesday evening.

Karatsev, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Federico Coria and Colombian qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan next.
