Hamburg Open: Djere reaches semi-finals

Serb Laslo Djere moved into the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open with an upset win over defending champion Lorenzo Musetti, the No 3 seed, 7-5, 6-3 at Am Rothenbaum on Friday.
Djere, ranked No 57, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Zhizhen Zhang and German Daniel Altmaier next.

The Serb beat Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed (7-6 (2), 6-3) and Argentinian Guido Pella (6-2, 3-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Musetti, ranked No 18, defeated Swede qualifier Elias Ymer (6-4, 6-1) and edged out Slovak lucky loser Jozef Kovalik (3-6, 6-2, 6-4).
