Serb Laslo Djere won against Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (2), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Hamburg Open at Am Rothenbaum.
Djere, ranked No 57, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian lucky loser Thiago Monteiro and Argentinian Guido Pella next.
