Hamburg Open: Cobolli beats Altmaier to reach second round

Italian Flavio Cobolli beat German Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Hamburg Open at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Monday.

Cobolli, ranked No 48, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild and Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 8 seed, next.
