Hamburg Open: Blanchet ousts Popyrin in first round
Ugo Blanchet won against Alexei Popyrin 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2 on Monday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Pedro Martinez and Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 6 seed, in the next round
French qualifier Ugo Blanchet won against Australian Alexei Popyrin 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2 to move into the second round of the Hamburg Open at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Monday.
Blanchet, ranked No 161, will play Spaniard Pedro Martinez next.
