Halle: Bublik defeats Zverev, into final
Alexander Bublik beat Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 8 seed, and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 3 seed, for the title
Kazakh Alexander Bublik advanced to the final of Halle by beating German Alexander Zverev, the No 9 seed, 6-3, 7-5 at the Owl Arena/Gerry-Weber-Stadion on Saturday.
Bublik, ranked No 48, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 8 seed, and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 3 seed, next.

Bublik is into his eighth career ATP tour final, having won one of his previous seven – and his third on grass, having won none of the previous two.
It is also his first ATP 500 final.
The Kazakh won against Croat Borna Coric, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-1), German Jan-Lennard Struff (6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3) and Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 4 seed (7-5, 2-0 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Halle Open.
Bublik, also known as “the Bublik Enemy”, will feature in UTS Los Angeles next month.
Earlier in the tournament, Zverev, ranked No 22, defeated Austrian wildcard Dominic Thiem (6-3, 6-4), Canadian Denis Shapovalov (6-2, 6-4) and Chilean Nicolas Jarry (7-5, 6-3).
