Hall of Fame Open: Spizzirri sees off Tu for second round berth

American wildcard Eliot Spizzirri advanced to the second round of the Hall of Fame Open by winning against Australian qualifier Li Tu 6-1, 7-6 (4) at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Tuesday night.
Spizzirri, ranked No 393, will face Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 6 seed, next.
