No 5 seed Brandon Nakashima moved into the second round of the Hall of Fame Open by winning against Emilio Nava 7-5, 6-2 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Tuesday night.
Nakashima, ranked No 53, will face Australian qualifier Alex Bolt next.
