Hall of Fame Open: Murray reaches last eight

No 6 seed Andy Murray moved into the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Open by winning against Australian wildcard Max Purcell 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Wednesday evening.

Murray, ranked No 52, will play Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 3 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Hall of Fame Open, Andy Murray beat American Sam Querrey (6-2, 6-0). Purcell, ranked No 202, edged out Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (6-3, 1-6, 7-5) in the first round of the Hall of Fame Open.
