Hall of Fame Open: Michelsen beats Cressy to reach quarter-finals

No 3 seed Alex Michelsen advanced to the last eight of the Hall of Fame Open by beating Maxime Cressy 6-4, 6-4 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum.
Michelsen, ranked No 61, will face the winner of the match between American Aleksandar Kovacevic and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, the No 7 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Newport tournament, Cressy, ranked No 180, edged out Radu Albot (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (4)).
