Hall of Fame Open: Mannarino overcomes Humbert in straight sets to book final against Michelsen

Second seed Adrian Mannarino beat No 3 seed Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-3 to reach the final of the Hall of Fame Open at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Saturday evening.

Mannarino, ranked No 38, will play Alex Michelsen next.

Ahead of his victory, Adrian Mannarino won against Australian Rinky Hijikata (6-3, 6-4) and Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 7 seed (6-0, 6-7 (4), 6-2).

Humbert, ranked No 40, defeated American Steve Johnson (6-4, 6-4) and South African wildcard Kevin Anderson (6-2, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Newport tournament.
