Hall of Fame Open: Kubler beats Thompson to reach second round

Australia’s Jason Kubler defeated Jordan Thompson 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Hall of Fame Open at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Monday evening.
Kubler is coming off his best showing at a Grand Slam at Wimbledon, where he reached the fourth round after coming through the qualifying draw.
