Hall of Fame Open: Mayot beaten in first round
Aleksandar Kovacevic won against Harold Mayot 7-6 (1), 6-4 on Monday evening and will play the winner of the match between Japanese Shintaro Mochizuki and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, the No 7 seed, in the next round

American Aleksandar Kovacevic reached the second round of the Hall of Fame Open by beating Frenchman Harold Mayot 7-6 (1), 6-4 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Monday evening.
Kovacevic, ranked No 91, will play the winner of the match between Japanese Shintaro Mochizuki and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech, the No 7 seed, next.
