Hall of Fame Open: Cressy reaches quarter-finals
Maxime Cressy defeated Mitchell Krueger 6-3, 6-4 on Wednesday evening and will face the winner of the match between Czech Jiri Vesely, the No 7 seed, and American Steve Johnson in the next round
No 4 seed Maxime Cressy moved into the last eight of the Hall of Fame Open by winning against qualifier Mitchell Krueger 6-3, 6-4 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Wednesday evening. Cressy, ranked No 41, will face Steve Johnson next.
In the previous round of the Hall of Fame Open, Krueger, ranked No 146, beat Dutchman Tim van Rijthoven (7-6 (7), 4-6, 6-3).
