Liam Broady advanced to the second round of the Hall of Fame Open by beating Japanese Shintaro Mochizuki 6-1, 7-5 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Monday evening.
Broady, ranked No 130, will play the winner of the match between Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 7 seed, and American Aleksandar Kovacevic next.
