Griekspoor reaches second round in Dubai after Shelbayh injury

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor advanced to the second round of the Dubai Open when Jordanian wildcard Abdullah Shelbayh retired on Monday evening at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre.
Griekspoor, ranked No 28, led 7-5, 2-0 when Shelbayh, ranked No 228, pulled out at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Monday evening.
The Dutchman will play Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 7 seed, next.
