American Sebastian Korda won against Spaniard Jaume Munar 6-4, 6-1 to reach the second round of the Gijon Open at the Palacio deportes on Wednesday afternoon.
Korda, ranked No 47, will play No 3 seed Roberto Bautista Agut next.
