After reaching the semi-finals in Munich on clay and then in Stuttgart on grass, Oscar Otte is back into the semi-finals of yet another ATP event in Germany
Germany’s Oscar Otte upset the No 8 seed Karen Khachanov, of Russia, in three sets to advance to the semi-finals at the Owl Arena/Gerry-Weber-Stadion in Halle on Friday.
Otte, ranked No 51 in the world, lost the first set 6-4 but fought back to take the second in a tiebreak. In the decider, he got the decisive break in the fifth game and held on to it to close out the 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 win in two hours and 11 minutes.
The German hit 22 aces and saved all five break points against his serve in the final set.
